I'm a percussionist/vocalist in a band and have been performing for about 28 years. I'm a bit of a gear nut and have a good collection of studio and stage microphones. In my stage collection I have mics from Shure, Electro Voice, CAD, Rode and Audio Technica, including a top of the range hand-held condenser from AT. After buying a couple of these Sennheiser e945 mics, I'm convinced that it's the best sounding stage mic I've ever used. It's pretty much ready to go with little to no EQ required for a vocal sound that will cut through the mix, with sweet sounding midrange and very little plosives. It's my new favourite live vocal mic. If you've ever had to deal with an inattentive sound-guy who can't be bothered to EQ for the best possible sound and is too dumb to fix feedback issues, just buy one of these and know that no matter how useless the sound-guy is, you are still going to sound fantastic!
