Wharfedale TITAN-12 250w 12" Speaker
We are pleased to announce the first in a new generation of products from Wharfedale Pro - the Titan Series. With a moulded polypropylene enclosure, the Titan12 is lightweight and powerful, it looks great and the price is extremely attractive. The Titan 12 is a 12" passive 2 way loudspeaker combining superior components with a multitude of features (and extras) that make this loudspeaker ideal for live and install - anywhere where a hight standard of audio reproduction is required.
The Titan 12 features the new Elliptical Waveguide Horn (EWG). In comparison to a conventional horn, the Elliptical Waveguide offers superior control over HF coverage, with reduced distortion, greater output and smoother frequency response. The Elliptical shape means that there are not corners or parallel surfaces to distort, diffract or reflect the sound. This is twinned with a 1.75" titanium compression driver to provide exceptional clarity, high power handling capability and maximum efficiency. The 12" heavy duty driver is custom built for the Titan 12. The crossover in the Titan 12 is a built in 24dB per octave Linkwitz-Riley crossover that provides a flat frequency response throughout the crossover point without any colouration. The Titan 12 also features a HF boost switch which provides a flat response for larger venues and longer throw applications. To enable the product to be used as a stage monitor, the Titan 12 has angled sides and feet. The stand adaptor on the top of the unit features a lock screw to ensure stability and the handles are rubber padded to make transportation easier. For installation purposes, a cord wrap and cable anchor feature is molded into the enclosure. Nine M8 threaded rigging points are provided for flying the Titan along with bottom mounted M8 threaded rigging points in an Omnimount 60.0 footprint. The Titan 12 comes with then optional accessories of a wall mount bracket with pan/tilt positioning, a dual unit array stand bracket to enable two enclosures to be mounted together and a nylon tour bag with a storage pocket for cables.
